Glen Ridge is a small town well known for tree lined streets, gas lights, as well as fabulous early American Architecture. The easy commute to New York City as well as the fabulous school system attracts successful executives and their families from all over the world. Glen Ridge NJ has one of the oldest country clubs in Essex County located on the northern end of Ridgewood Avenue. The Glen Ridge Country Club is where local residents can enjoy, golfing, tennis, an olympic size swimming pool among many other recreational classes. The tiki bar is also open poolside throughout the summer for cocktails.  Different memberships are available.

The Glen Ridge Recreation Department maintains 9 parks, 4 schools, the Glen Ridge Pool, and the Senior-Community Center. Within the parks are areas for baseball, softball, soccer, football, field hockey and lacrosse fields, playgrounds, tennis and platform tennis courts, and also a seasonal skate park.


Commuting Glen Ridge to New York City

Glen Ridge offers a 25 minute commute via the Montclair-Booton Train Line into New York City. The town also offers a local jitney service for residents to access the Bloomfield Avenue train station.
